Shout!

Watched Ngak and Clement at Esplanade last Friday and for their last song, they covered Tears For Fears' Shout. I've said before that one of the great things about covers is that you get to rediscover and be reminded these old gems from the past.

So, Tears For Fears, what a band and what a name. The 80s aren't so bad after all.

This one goes out to Vincent Seow, whom I've not seen in almost 20 years. Everybody wants to rule the world, you and I.

Actually personally the 1980s was actually a great decade for music with some of the best acts ever: Sonic Youth, The Fall,Birthday Party, Big Black, Husker Du, Minutemen, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Flipper, Scratch Acid, Meat Puppets, Fugazi, My Bloody Valentine, Einsturzende Neubauten, Fatrix, Cabaret Voltaire, Psychic TV, early Skullflower, Nurse With Wound, Coil, Current 93, early John Zorn, Public Enemy, Pussy Galore, Borbetomagus, early Napalm Death, Godflesh, Swans, Virgin Prunes, Bad Brains, etc. The list goes on and I most likely missed out like a dozen other great ones here already...
